The event began with presentations by Paul, CTO of Athena Information Systems, and the Senior Business Development Manager (APAC) of Lighthouse (Kuan Yii). Paul shared strategies on leveraging CRM to enhance customer experience and build brand loyalty, highlighting how data can be used to accurately understand member profiles and enable personalized marketing.
The session continued with a brief yet insightful presentation by Kuan Yii, Senior Business Development Manager (APAC) at Lighthouse, who explained how data platforms can help hotels gain market insights and develop effective operational strategies. The presentation sparked enthusiastic discussion among attendees. Together, the two speakers delivered compelling insights that offered the audience a fresh perspective on enhancing competitiveness.

Key Principles for Selecting a Hotel Booking Engine
How to optimize a hotel’s website booking engine to increase direct bookings is a topic of great interest among hoteliers. Before the official start of the seminar, we were honored to have Mr. Joe Hsieh (Chun-Hao Hsieh), Chief Operating Officer of BSI Taiwan, deliver the opening remarks. Mr. Hsieh acknowledged Become's strong commitment to information security and emphasized the critical role cybersecurity plays in digital hospitality services.
Following the opening remarks, Will, Senior Product Manager at Become, delivered an in-depth analysis of website booking engines. He highlighted key features and security measures to consider when selecting a booking system. Will emphasized that by optimizing the booking process, hotels can not only increase direct booking conversion rates but also enhance guest loyalty and overall satisfaction—ultimately delivering a more seamless and secure booking experience for travelers.

The second half of the seminar was led by Senior IT Consultant Allen. In response to rapidly evolving technologies, Allen shared how cloud architecture, AI applications, and smart building solutions can be leveraged to redefine hotel operations.
He presented use cases of generative AI, highlighting how automation, intelligence, and personalization are shaping a new era of hotel operations. Allen also emphasized the benefits of AI in streamlining hotel management processes, while underscoring the importance of data privacy as a core value in building customer trust.

Sustainability in Practice: Where Eco-Friendliness Meets Efficiency
Sustainability is more than just a slogan. In the final session, Sam, Vice General Manager of Miramar Garden Taipei, shared practical insights on sustainable operations, emphasizing the idea that “environmental protection is not a cost, but a value.”
He provided an in-depth look at how hotels can implement environmental practices through concrete measures such as upgrading energy-efficient equipment, managing water resources, and reducing waste. By incorporating green building design and encouraging guest participation in sustainability efforts, hotels can further enhance their brand image and strengthen customer loyalty. This approach not only fulfills corporate social responsibility but also demonstrates that ESG and cost-effectiveness can go hand in hand. Sam's sharing was both practical and inspiring, offering clear guidance for advancing sustainability in the hospitality industry.
